Personal Message From Mac Harb

Dear Friend,

I would like to thank you for supporting the Harb Seal Bill to end the commercial seal hunt in Canada. Your response is part of a 200,000 strong flood of letters, emails and calls that we have received so far in support of this legislation.

Our goal is to gather 500,000 names through petitions and emails - a target that will ensure the Government of Canada recognizes that Canadians and their friends around the world want to see an end to the commercial seal hunt.

I am enclosing a copy of a petition to share with your family, friends and colleagues. It is not necessary to fill out each and every line on this petition - we are grateful for every signature we can count as one more vote to end the commercial seal hunt in Canada. Please send your petitions to my office address printed at the top of each sheet. Remember, no postage is required if mailed within Canada.

Together, we will ensure the Government understands that it is time to end the commercial seal hunt and transition those involved in this dying industry into sustainable, 21st century jobs.

Thanks once again for your support for the Harb Seal Bill.
Mac Harb
