Our Canadian Elected Members of Parliament in their infinite wisdom decided to show the world how stupid they were by unanimously voting to propose seal pelt uniforms for the Canadian Athletes at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. After my initial shock, I began to see the humour and actually find it delightful that these elected officials are showing their true zealotry and insanity to the entire world! First they show their belligerence by threatening trade and legal stuff with the WTO and now this! The Canadian Soap Opera just gets better and better and better. They couldn't have made a better mockery of themselves if we had tried!
If you would like to ask some of the elected officials why they voted for highly esteemed athletes to wear seal, clown suites to the Winter Games I have copied a few bulk emails from the NDP elected MP's below. And perhaps you would like to ask them why elected officials don't give a toss what the public wants. Has something changed drastically in Parliament lately? Or have MP's always voted for their personal obsessions? Just curious of course.

It is unbelievable that this would be proposed and that it would receive unanimous support.
